Waiting at the Door
Posted Jun-01-2011 11:22am by Teresa

"Blessed is the man who listens to me (Wisdom), watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway." Proverbs 8:34

This verse strikes me as a contrast to Revelation 3:20: "Here I am!  I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him and he with Me."

How much better to be waiting at God's door to hear from Him!  The promise of fellowship is still the same, but how much more often would we enjoy sweet words of wisdom from our Lord if we were intent on hearing from Him, rather than relying on His knock at the door to grab our attention.

Lord, I pray that you would give me "listening ears" and help me to be more attentive to Your voice.  Just like a mother who vigilantly tunes her ear to the voice of her young child, I want to hear You every time You call out to me.

I saw your duo play in a corner doorway on the main strip of the Burbank Mall / Media Center. As my wife and I approached you two guys my heart began to leap because I knew instantly without hearing the specific words that you were singing to our Lord and Savior - The Christ. We stood and looked at you both for a time, you guys barely looked at us, you were so deep into your Devotion to God. I felt like crying but, knew people passing bye would not understand and perhaps would interfere in someway and I did not want to spoil my Devotional vibrations. I use to sing and write songs many, many years ago and several were dedicated to God, Christ and other great Saints. I was so happy to hear the same kind of expression from you two guys. Without saying a word, as I got closer to one of you, you just looked at me, kept playing, handed me your joy filled CD, no charge, no money jar / guitar case open to contribute to - you just kept giving - of yourselves and of your art on CD. Well I just downloaded entire CD to ITunes from your Free web site. And I am writing as I listen and still tears come out of mutual love for the Sole Reality, the One Christ Consciousness, that pervades every atom of creation. I am going to forward a few tracks to my brother in NYC he is a well known Music Licensing expert for movies and commercials. Your songs are a special market, but, I want him to have the first 3 songs at least. As for me I am a Risk Manager for over 14 years now, I assess risk - insurance, claims, law suits, Contractual Analysis, so if you need FREE services in this area, please do email me or call my cell. I would like to give back what you gave to me. And from looking at your site, you help others, and that is a great service, but, also there are many different types of liability exposures in everything we do. Look at my profile on Linked In. I was a Risk Manager for my Church for 5 years and in the desire to render service to others there were occasional claims/suits Please do not think I seek anything from you, as I said, I just want to give back what you gave to me so freely. Warm Regards, Keep Singing, those Doors, you wrote down from the Bible and discussed, are the 7 Churches within you and me, the seven centers of the Astral Body, we knock, by penetrating the gaze of our Faith, at each one, start with the Spiritual Eye. " If Thine eye be single, Thy whole body shall be full of light" - put your devotional attention at the point between the eyebrows, in the center, and you will begin to See Our Christ, as the light of the Spiritual Eye. The contrast is further accentuated when considering who's door the Lord is knocking. The Rev.3:20 passage is part of the letter written to the Church at Laodicea, the lukewarm church. Thankfully, God is merciful to even those who are too busy for Him. However, He does expect a response. "how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation. Heb. 2:3
